According to the folks that attended this year’s Holiday Ball, This was one of the BEST Holiday Ball to date. Holiday Ball Chair Bro. Davis Line Dance music after diner was a big hit. It got folks into the dancing mood.

The two Brothers that put in extra effort to get Alpha Center up and running was recognized as Brothers of the year. This is the first time we’ve had two Brothers of the Year.

Our Regional Vice President Bro. Crutison pumped up the crowd and asked them to pause and give thanks to the one that makes all things possible.

We had a special guest from the mid-west, Brother Tillman, who is running for General President. Bro. Tillman also attended our general body meeting and shared his thoughts on active verses non-actives Brothers. Brothers Tillman also discussed among other things General President financial responsibility, cost of General Conventions and how he will move our Great Fraternity forward. Brothers Tillman and our Honorable Bro. Littlejohn engaged in lively and fruitful dialog on the power of the General President

Good morning brother! I hope this email finds you in great spirits. Thank you so much for the beautiful holiday greetings and well wishes. I pray that you and your family had a blessed thanksgiving as well.

I could never thank you enough for the love and compassion you showed my sister, nieces, and nephew after their house fire. The phone calls, emails, and mobilization efforts of yourself and the Michigan brothers warmed my family’s heart, and put my sister back on her feet.

I pledged our great fraternity in the Spring of 2004, but even before then I chose to live a life of service. I wanted it to matter that the Creator put breath in my body, so I chose to make a living while making a difference in the lives of others. Hence my career in health Care Administration and service in the U.S. Navy.

But as you know, serving through our fraternity is a labor of love; key word being labor. Somehow, I forgot that the downs may outnumber the ups, but they definitely don’t outweigh them. I allowed fraternal arguments, disagreements, and petty misunderstandings to drive me away from the frat. I still served my community and my country, but ignored the platform that gave me the tools do so at the level in which I was. I owed so much to Alpha and yet I turned a blind eye to the organization.

To this sad but real truth I say Nevermore! Your actions reminded me of my duty and obligation of ensuring others have the opportunities and experiences I had. You reminded me that I promised to reach back to those that have come after me into the House of Alpha and stimulate their ambitions, prepare them for the greatest usefulness for humanity, encourage their growth and maturity as men, and last but certainly not least promote the aiding of the downtrodden.

You along with Brother-President Skip Mason and my line brother, Brother Isaac Addae, are solely responsible for my reactivation and rededication to the fraternity.

For this reason I am endorsing you as the 34th General of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. I am campaigning not only to get more of our brothers back active with the frat, but also to get you elected as our next General President.

First let me congratulate you on a job well done serving as our Regional VP. You are  both accessible and helpful. As you may know I am from Ohio (Cleveland) and am used to the chapter getting attention from officers due to DAL being a larger chapter. You made every brother in Nebraska feel welcome and respected by your visit as well as your acknowledgement of our state in your remarks at the convention. Thank you for your acknowledgement and for your support.

I also feel the need to apologize. Today I put on one of the suits I took to the convention. While reaching in the pocket I noticed that I did not give you the check I promised to support your campaign. I wanted to give it to your personally but blew that so I will be happy to mail it. Would you please provide the address you would like it to be mailed.
